DESCRIPTION
History:
Our Crozes Hermitage “Les Jalets” comes from 6 ha of vineyard, located at “Les Jalets”, with additional purchased grapes. Its name comes from the word “jalets” which is the Old French word for the pebbles left by alpine glaciers, as can be found at Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
Soil:
6 ha on a stony plain of glacial origin.
Grape Variety:
Syrah.
Age of the vines:
25 years.
Vinification:
Destemmed, crushed and thermo-regulated alcoholic fermentation; vatting over 3 weeks.
Ageing:
In vat and in the bottle.
Yield:
40-45 hl/ha.

Attractive bright ruby colour, with a violet hue.
Bouquet:
Aromas of tart red berries, with a spicy final note.
Palate:
Smooth, rich attack, finishing with liquorice notes.

Serving Temperature:
16° to 18°.
