DESCRIPTION
History:
Over the past few decades, the reputation of these red wines has been confirmed. Beaumes-de-Venise
was awarded Côtes du Rhône Villages status in 1979 and AOC status in 2005.
Soil:
Soft limestone, with scattered areas of sandstone.
Grape Variety:
85% Grenache ; 15% Syrah.
Age of the vines:
35 years.
Vinification:
Traditional, with long maceration.
Ageing:
In stainless steel tanks and in the bottle.
Yield:
30 hl/ha.
Tasting:
Colour:
Intense black cherry hue.
Bouquet:
Powerful aromatic nose of ripe fruit and jam, developing into warm liquorice notes.
Palate:
Strong attack rich in tannins, and a long warm final note.

Young wild boar stew
Duck confit with dates
Fillet of beef in a piquant sauce
Serving Temperature:
14° to 18°.
Best enjoyed within:
5 to 10 years.
