DESCRIPTION

History:

Wine labelled by its grape variety and from the basin of the Côtes du Rhône and the Côtes de Provence. This large region has made it possible to open up Maison Paul Jaboulet Aîné's selection of wines to various different climates.

Soil:
From terroirs in the Ventoux region, which enjoys a great deal of sunshine but which also enjoys cool nights, giving this wine its complex synthesis of aromas.

Grape Variety:
100 % Syrah.

Age of the vines:
15 to 20 years.

Vinification:
Machine-harvested and vinified so as to bring out the aromas of the grape: short vatting and vinification at low temperature to extract the fruit from the wine without any harshness.

Ageing:

Stainless steel vats.

Yield:
60hl/ha.

Tasting:
Colour:
Intense and deep red with violet hues, typical of the grape.
Bouquet:
Powerful syrah nose giving very intense fruit aromas: cherries, violets, blackcurrants.

Fruit-driven attack, followed by lovely, well-rounded structure: silky and harmonious. This syrah is a complex wine with good length, held up by its fruit and delicacy.

Charcuterie
Grilled meats
