Rubis intense, avec une belle limpidité et une belle brillance.
Nez :
Etoffé et complexe sur des notes de fruits noirs très mûres, et ponctué par quelques touches épicées, fumées, et vanillées.
Bouche :
Ample et généreuse, bien équilibrée, avec des tanins d'une grande noblesse.
La finale est sur des notes mûres et chaudes d'épices, et de fruits rouges confiturés.

'Vin de couleur foncé avec un sentiment de profondeur. Le nez de fruits noirs est encore assez discret. Les Tanins sont très présents mais harmonieux, l'alcool est aussi bien équilibré avec l'acidité. Ce vin est armé pour vieillir de longues années.'

'Full deep ruby. Liqueur-like aromas of kirsch, shoe polish, smoke and tobacco; slightly porty aspect. Dense and concentrated, with firm acids giving the flavors good definition. 'Coup de cœur pour les millésimes 92 et 95, cette maison réputée propose un 96 d’une bonne intensité, tirant sur le pourpre et le grenat. Quant au nez, il joue des registres variés allant des fruits rouges (cassis, mûre) aux épices (cannelle, poivre), sans oublier les odeurs de sous-bois et les notes légèrement animales. Une grande richesse caractérise ce vin également fort en bouche et persistant. Recommandé sur des viandes rouges.'
