DESCRIPTION

History:

Maison Paul Jaboulet Aîné bought the “Domaine Raymond Roure” vineyard from the family of the same name in 1996. It is situated in the commune of Gervans, to the north of Tain l’Hermitage.

Soil:
2.5 ha on south-facing slopes, with terres blanches (white earth) and loess.

Grape Variety:
Marsanne.

Age of the vines:
60 years, with some century-old plants.

Vinification:
Bunches pressed whole; fermentation in oak barrels, 30% of which are new wood.

Ageing:

9 months in oak barrels on fine lees, which are stirred.

Yield:
30 hl/ha.

Tasting:
Colour:
Clear golden, bright and limpid.
Bouquet:
Aromatic and subtle with white flowers, mixed with slightly buttery notes.
Palate:
Full and powerful, with a long and harmonious finish.

Matching Food and Wine:
Etagée of Breton lobster with shellfish and leeks
Langoustines and mullet on a bed of green papaya
Millefeuille of foie gras and calf sweetbread

Serving Temperature:
12° to 14°.

Best enjoyed within: 
From 5 to 10 years.
